Khalaf Khalaf is the Director of Standards Department at Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA).
Khalaf has a B.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering (UAE University) and MBA from University of Hull.
He has over 24 years’ experience, he enjoyed variety of Management positions as he worked for Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) during the period 2007-2015 as Deputy Director of Development and Corporate Performance & Organization Development Manager. In addition to his experience in the fields as Petroleum Engineer at early of his career in 1995, then as Planning and Quality Manager in Abu Dhabi Onshore Oil Operations Company (ADCO). He has also variety of Engineering experience in Oil and Gas industry including Field Development and management.
He is specialized in strategy and planning, Business process development and Reengineering, performance improvement and project management.
During the past 9 years, he was involved in many development initiatives as driving forces such as Business Process Management (BPM), Service Level Framework & Knowledge management.
Khalaf has made huge contributions towards RTA advancement in Quality & Excellence that demonstrated in the tremendous improvement of RTA ranking among governmental departments in Dubai Government Program for Excellence (DGPE) and the number of awards RTA won since then.
Khalaf joined Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) in November 2016 as Director of Standards Department responsible for driving standards and technical regulations development across serval disciplines on national and regional level.
Khalaf is a Member in GSO Steering Committee for Standards and Chair of GSO Technical Committee for Chemical and Textile Products since 2016.
