Model S is designed from the ground up to be the safest car on the road. Much of its safety is owed to the unique electric drivetrain that sits beneath the car's aluminum occupant cell in its own subframe. This unique positioning lowers the car's center of gravity, which improves handling and minimizes rollover risk, and replaces the heavy engine block with impact absorbing boron steel rails.

Side impacts are met by aluminum pillars reinforced with steel rails to reduce intrusion, protecting occupants and the battery pack while improving roof stiffness. In the event of an accident, six airbags protect front and rear occupants, and the high voltage power source is automatically disconnected.

The International Conference on Future Mobility will play host to the first connected Mercedes-Benz S-Class in the region, equipped with features exclusive to Mercedes me connect, the brand’s venture in connected mobility. Mercedes me connect offers a personalized realm of endless possibilities, allowing owners to take full ownership and control of their car. By linking the physical and digital world through the Internet of Things, a Mercedes-Benz becomes a personal companion – a productive hub with enhanced control and visualization of all functions, from multimedia, to assistance systems and autonomous driving. The personalized user experience does not stop there – the networked vehicle will enable services such as the emergency call system through to Remote Parking Assist and Remote Online Services. Via an app, customers will be able to access information related to vehicle status, program the pre-entry climate, and remotely open and lock the doors.


Mercedes-Benz C 350 e

The Mercedes-Benz C 350 e offers a glimpse into the future of Mercedes-Benz as the brand plans to offer at least one electrified drivetrain in each model series.

The plug-in hybrid Mercedes-Benz C 350 e combines an extraordinary level of efficiency, dynamism and comfort. An all-electric range of up to 31 kilo-metres and consumption rate of just 2.1 litres of fuel per 100 kilometeres re-affirm the performance sedan's exemplerary efficiency. Its efficiency does not come at the expense of high performance – the C 350 e can reach at top speed of 250 km/h with CO₂ emissions of 48 grams per kilometre. The electric motor can replace or support the combustion engine and makes use of energy generated while braking by converting it into electric energy, stor-ing it and reusing it. Drivers also have full control over their hybrid experi-ence and driving characteristics with four operating modes of HYBRID, E-MODE, E-SAVE, and CHARGE.

THE BMW 740Le iPerformance Luxury

BMW 740Le iPerformance sources its power from the myriad talents of a latest-generation four-cylinder petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and an electric motor delivering a system output of 240 kW/326 hp. Its long wheelbase captures the imagination with supreme dynamics, while also recording average petrol consumption of 2.2 – 2.0 litres per 100 kilometres / 128.4 – 141.2 mpg imp and CO2 emissions of 50 – 45 grams per kilometre.

The BMW i8 is most desirable plug-in hybrid sports car. The first plug-in hybrid vehicle manufactured by the BMW Group, it combines the performance of a sports car with the fuel consumption and emission figures of a subcompact vehicle. The BMW i8 can be driven up to 37 kilometres under electric power alone, accelerate in the style of a purebred sports car and yet its average consumption is that of a subcompact car. Its 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, equipped with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, is combined with an electric motor. The battery can be charged at a conventional power outlet, at a charging station or simply while driving.

 The new Audi A8: “Vorsprung” redefined


The new Audi A8 presents the future of the luxury class. In its fourth generation, the brand’s flagship model again provides the benchmark for “Vorsprung durch Technik” – with a new design language, an innovative touchscreen operating concept and a systematically electrified drive. The Audi A8 is also the first production automobile in the world to have been developed for conditionally automated driving. From 2018, Audi will gradually be taking piloted driving functions such as parking pilot, garage pilot and traffic jam pilot into production.

Audi RS 7 autonomous driving concept 


For some time now, Audi has been testing autonomous driving under increasingly challenging conditions. In October 2014, the RS 7 with the project name “Bobby” completed a driverless lap of the Hockenheimring at speeds of up to 240 km/h (149.1 mph). The next generation of the car is named “Robby,” and is powered by a 4.0 TFSI V8 biturbo engine with a power output of 412 kW (560 hp). Robby is around 400 kg (881.8 lb) lighter than the previous model. In July 2015, Robby thrilled the American public when it drove on the Sonoma Raceway in California without an active driver, turning in lap times that were better than those of sports car drivers. This resulted in a best lap time of 2:07.67 minutes for the 4.2 km (2.6 mi) long course.”

The Audi RS 7 piloted driving concept is the first car to drive to record times – autonomously and without any interventions by the driver. At the challenging FAST Parcmotor race track near Barcelona in Spain, Audi again demonstrated its technological competence in autonomous driving. Passengers were international journalists who had an opportunity to experience the latest generation of the high-powered, four-door sport coupe under race conditions.

Audi technologies for autonomous driving stand for the principles of safety, time savings, efficiency and convenience. The systems can make a valuable contribution toward safety, especially when the driver is overwhelmed or underwhelmed by driving tasks. When used to temporarily assume driving tasks, the predictive technology makes driving more efficient, reduces stress and enhances comfort. In addition, it gives drivers greater freedom for organizing their time in the car. The next level of Automous Driving driving makes its production debut in the luxury-class sedan, the Audi A8. The systems can assume driving tasks during parking or in stop-and-go traffic on freeways at speeds of up to 60 km/h (37.3 mph).


At Porsche, the term “hybrid” is synonymous not only with sustainable mobility, but also performance. This philosophy has been brought to life in the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. The Stuttgart-based manufacturer’s four door saloon offers a winning combination of hybrid drive with dynamic sportiness and luxurious driving comfort. Powered by a petrol-electric powertrain, the new model redefines balance with its 462 hp of total system output generated by the combination of a 2.9-litre V6 biturbo engine and an electric motor.

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid delivers a level of power that rivals that of a 911 Turbo with a torque output of 700 Nm, which is immediately available from a stationary start. The performance credentials of the model are further highlighted by a zero to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.6 seconds (thanks to the boost function) and a top speed of 278 km/h. It has a purely electric range of approximately 50 kilometres and an average fuel consumption of 2.5 l/100 km (NEDC).

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid showcases Porsche’s approach to building sports cars of the future, with its E-Performance concept based on the characteristics of; more power, more driving fun and lower fuel consumption. Porsche may not have invented the luxury saloon segment, but with models like the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, the brand has produced a sports car for it!



The ZOE establishes a new record driving range of 400 kilometers 100% electric (NEDC)

The ZOE fitted with the new Z.E. 40 battery: the longest driving range of any mass-market electric vehicle

Double the range for even longer journeys: As the pioneer of all-electric mobility and Europe’s number one seller of electric vehicles, Renault has stepped up its innovation program and the deployment of its Z.E. strategy (Zero Emissions (1)).

Fitted with the new Z.E. 40 battery, the Renault ZOE now delivers a record NEDC driving range of 400km, which is twice the distance delivered by the model at the time of its original launch.

The new Z.E. 40 battery has a real-world range of 300 kilometers in urban or suburban areas, for example.

Zero emissions during road use: no CO emission or emission of other regulated airborne pollutants during road use in compliance with the NEDC cycle (not including wear parts).

The new ZOE range is the longest of any mainstream all-electric vehicle and motorists can take advantage of this step forward now.

The ZOE is the best-selling electric vehicle in Europe and provides a real alternative to internal combustion- engine cars, since average daily commuting distances are well within the ZOE’s capabilities.

The new battery removes the final psychological barrier that stands in the way of buying an electric car since ZOE users can now travel further and enjoy a wider variety of driving situations without worry about charging. This makes weekend trips a real possibility.

The Z.E. 40 battery’s charging rate is similar to that of the standard battery, so ‘topping up’ doesn’t take long at all. For example, just 30 minutes are required on average to charge the battery for an extra 80 kilometers (4) of driving range when plugged into one of the many public charging points in operation in Dubai.
